OMG.. severe tummy problems two days in a row!! I've been having really bad food poisoning the last two nights.. not that I learn really, because I end up doing the same thing and eating random food I find in different carts and stalls.. it's all so good!!
I think it was the ramen because the day before yesterday, I had ramen with Tina for brekky and I think that's what has set off the problems. It didn't help that I ended up eating izakaiya (Japanese bbq) for dinner last night either! But oh wells, sacrifices needed to be made.. I think it was almost worth it.. almost.
Went to the zoo today.. we actually all made an effort to wake up super early (11am) to make it to the zoo by 1pm-ish. And we did it! I got up at 1045am and was just barely conscious, considering I was up half the night with terrible tummy problems. The Tennoji zoo turned out not to be too far from where we were staying and it was really fun! The animals werent really caged, and most of the animals were segregated by.. sticks with fishing line.. So I guess if the giraffe and zebra's were to rebel, it wouldn't take much. We saw some of the caged animals, and they looked really.. forlorn and lost. But I guess you would too if you were meant to be wild and free. They had so many animals here, though Gary was a little crushed. He wanted to go to the zoo to check out the panda's.. unfortunately there was no panda at the Tennoji zoo.. Choco got to see the polar bear though.. and that polar bear was such a show-off! Kept running around and being hyper-active. Though it was, as the Japanese girls next to me were saying, very 'kawai!!'
Their reptile house was impressive too! We got to see so many different turtles, even the ones considered pests back home in aus. (red slider turtles) It was all very spacious in there too! And the Japanese seem to be fond of birds, because there was so many caged birds in that palce.
After that, we ended up wandering around the area and just cehcking the locals sites. I ate this takoyaki (octopus balls) at the place, which it was well known for and it was actually pretty good! I was rather surprised but they had alot of photos of people, who I can only think would be famous Japanese people posing on the wall out the front.
After the zoo, I was sposed to go home and get my bathers to go Spaworld, but I was just too tired. I think it's all the food I've been consuming.. nah. Can't be. Food too good. Anyways, just ended up eating at the local curry shop from where we stayed for a good¥630 and it was tastey! Flavoursome and rather yum.
And now, here I am on the internet filling in the blog, checking emails and what not, going sleep soon I guess.. have to wake up early to go Hiroshima.. decided to just base ourselves in Osaka so we don't have to lug everything we own around JApan all the time.. though we are still staying in MT FUJI so yay!
farewell me and you.
Thao.
xx
