Bought a few costumes yesterday.. and a few more today! They're soooo cool!! I can't wait to wear them when we hit Harajuku and Shinjuku. It's gonna be fun!
But other than that, we've found a reall cool shopping strip between the Namba and Shinsaibashi station lines, and it's actually no tthat expensive.. if you're willing to look around that is. I found these cool red/black hightop sneakers for ￥180０ and they're nice and comfy too! Haven't really bought much clothes besides the costumes really because it doesnt look like it'd fit us.. turns out I'm a 3-4L there which is REALLY DEPRESSING. I feel really fat here! But I guess it doesn't really help that I'm eating so much of their local foods. I'm making an effort to try everything within the vicinity of our house.. and turns out, behind every nook and cranny there's a food outlet, a family mart, a 7/11 or a restaurant. Which is really awesome! We live next door (literally) to a okanimya (Japanese pancake) resturant and it's really yum too!
Oh yeh! We also went to the castle just around the corner of our house the other night.. after a few drinks, and shots of tequila we decided to venture out and walk down there. The walk wasn't far and we ended up visitng a temple that was next door to the castle. I can't think of the word right now, but when I first saw the castle I was just taken aback by its enormity and.. grandeur. (I think that's how you spell it.. can someone tell me?)
Anyways not much else really. Just eating up a storm and trying all the local delicacies. Sleeping too much. Drinking too often. And walking around great lengths to explore. Tonight, it looks like we might be hitting SpaWorld.. or just trying on the costumes and playing with the make-up Train and Tina bought.. I can't justify spending money on make-up like that. But when it comes to costumes and food.. that's something different!
